Option 1 The nature elements and emotional responses can inspire my artwork . Jacquelyn Stevens molecular life enlarged pieces explore the most minuscule fragments of the universe. In this painting I am also making connections between my microscopic cellular forms and man-made materials. I used lace in the creation of surface of this work as it has this rich cell-like pattern & created a powerful background. The delicate designs in lace are created by a similar growth pattern to life itself. Both forms grow from one central point outwards, cell-by-cell, stitch by stitch. I was thinking how beautiful this is, poetically and visually, and how it is intrinsically connected to all forms of life. Option 2 Gayle Shifrin creates intuitively driven pieces. They are explorations of a variety of many subjects as well as the artist herself investigates her own thoughts and motivation for creating. Option 2 Alpana Rai and Gayle Shifrin's works reflect nature elements and emotional responses. These works were intuitively created with bold brushstrokes and palette of extreme colour selections. Option 3 Logan Moody's Crush series taps into the nostalgia of food and beverages, whilst also commenting on consumerism. Finding beauty in the mundane of everyday city life has always been at the heart of Logan's work as does Grace Bailey with her animals. She uses them as a metaphor for the human trait of gentleness. The colour green is used to amplify the sense of serenity.
