Artist bio

Angie Contini is an experimental multimedia artist and writer living in Sydney. Specialising in the connection between art, nature and mental health, Angie works across a broad range of media, including photography, collage, music, audio-visual installation, dance, theatre and poetry. Conceptually, her work explores themes of mythology, spirituality, ecology, existence and identity. Angie’s surrealist, impressionistic photographic images are created organically, without the intervention of post-production digital manipulation, recapturing the illusory, serendipitous magic of older, passed-over techniques of light play in early cinema and theatre.
