About me
I am a Melbourne based artist, living in Mount Waverly.
My art practice centers on exploring and interpreting everyday items in a vivid and dynamic compositions of color and texture. Immortalising everyday moments in time by artistic expression, is a deeply emotive exercise for me, in which a creative process is a fine line between hope and contemplation.
I enjoy experimenting with various art forms. Each brushstroke in my paintings are carefully applied in order to make every touch of light and shade visible. I enjoy elevating colour, line and shape to create a link between ordinary and extraordinary. I strongly draw on contemporary, modernistic art principles. I am interested in capturing the simplicity of everyday moments to and elevating them to a vivid, energetic palette.
“My art is my language. As an artist I love breaking boundaries, using my art to articulate my vision to challenge viewers' imagination and create deeper meanings
I create art because...
Creating art is not an option for me, it is a calling and essential part of my well-being.
I am different to most artists because...
My art is multidimensional, i am committed to the creative process.
When you look at my art, the thing I want you to feel is...
Something. Art is supposed to make you feel. I would like that to be joy, hope, curiosity. Looking at my art and seeing something new.
The thing I most want to say to non-artists is...
Choosing art is deeply personal, trust your instincts and pay attention to how it makes you feel.
I believe art is an important part of our lives because...
It a different way of communicating our most inner dialogue. it’s a language that goes beyond spoken or written word.
