Hi! My name is Pooja Kaul and I am a Sydney based artist.Original from Kashmir, India, painting has been a big part of my childhood and growing years.My work represents how I connect with soil.I draw my inspiration from nature and everything that soil gives us- colours, beauty, food, flora, fauna and above all the diversity of life.My work reflects my love for nature, wildlife and mundane things,that can remind the viewer of the comforting,peaceful and familiar scenes. Because of this, my spectrum of work ranges from landscapes, to still life and wildlife portraits.I try to express my varied connect with nature to bring a sense of calm, consciousness and grounding for the viewer.I use multiple layer method to create depth and give some textural effect to the work.Ilove strong colour palette ad earthy shades which you can find evident in my works.My studio is a dedicated peaceful corner in my home.My camera is my constant companion to freeze the moments and places that I want to paint.
