Artist bio

With over a decade of experience participating in more than a dozen art exhibitions both in Australia and abroad, I have dedicated my artistic journey to exploring textures, pushing my boundaries, and delving into various mediums. My artworks are crafted with the intention of deeply resonating with viewers, using colors as a form of therapy to evoke emotions and convey specific feelings. My use of abstract painting allows me to convey a raw emotional quality that I hope will connect with people by using colour to influence their psyche.

Having pursued art throughout my academic years, it was a pivotal moment in 2022, during a near-death experience resulting in a three-week hospitalisation due to heart failure, that I decided to transform my passion into a full-fledged business.
My ultimate goal is not only to bring joy into people's homes through my art but also to advocate for important causes close to my heart.

I create art because...

It’s how I process and express what words can’t quite reach. Painting became more than a creative outlet after a health scare in 2022 — it became the way I make sense of life, and now it’s how I carry my sister’s memory forward too.

I am different to most artists because...

I don’t stick to one particular style — I like being challenged, so I’m always creating different kinds of pieces rather than repeating the same look. Colour and colour therapy are at the heart of what I do, and my work is also deeply personal — through Sarah Helen Carter — Art Creating Awareness, every piece I create can go on to support a charity, not just hang on a wall.

When you look at my art, the thing I want you to feel is...

Something, rather than just see something. I want colour and movement to reach you emotionally — whether that’s calm, joy, or a memory you didn’t expect to surface. Surrounding ourselves in colour can uplift your spirits and create your mood.

The thing I most want to say to non-artists is...

You don’t need to “understand” abstract art to connect with it. If a piece makes you feel something when you look at it, that’s the whole point — trust that reaction.

I believe art is an important part of our lives because...

It gives people permission to feel, reflect, and connect in a way everyday life often doesn’t allow. It brings beauty and meaning into ordinary spaces, and sometimes, it brings people together around something bigger than themselves.

Bring this collection to your space.
