Artist bio

I am a visual artist and community arts facilitator, whose varied practice is united by a respect for difference and a distinctive play of colour, form and texture.
I am interested in the notions of sustainability and place; making evocative and colourful art works using what I can find. There is something of the scientist in how I work, inventing, trialing and perfecting techniques and through mark making, colour and the development of tangential techniques. I love the unexpected – challenging the medium, and producing works which are joyous, spirited and colourful, in every way.
